This article is part of a broader investigación on the consequences of syntactic doubling in the Gammar of Medieval Portuguese. In the first part I deal with several types of syntactic doubling: doubling and repetition, doubling and topicalization, doubled Personal, Possessive, Demonstrative, Locative and Temporal pronouns, doubled Quantifiers and Complementizers.
