This paper presents some results obtained by the investigation of the discursive construction of the intolerant identity, developed within the Laboratory of Studies on Intolerance. The theoretical framework is that of French discursive semiotics. The objective of the paper is to show how intolerant (racist, fascist, secessionist) discourses are built, and what identity (the intolerant ethos) is built therein. This is done by the investigation of linguistic-discursive procedures, and of the ethical frame within which these discourses are built. This article deals specifically with secessionist discourse, which is a type of intolerant discourse.Downloads
