The historical recovery of the Sarkis Hat Company is reported in this paper. Influences of this company on Itapira town are analyzed by taking into account the mentioned recovery, especially when investigating the organization and production of the urban center, as well as the daily of citizens. Its closing was due to changes in the global fashion and their reflex over the place Itapira – SP, Brazil. This study contemplates an analysis throughout the period from the 1920 to 1960 decades, in which the hat used to be an indispensable accessory for the daily lives of people. By looking forward from this period, we tried to understand the content of the spatial shape which is tumbled nowadays. This work is unique when identifying the transformation of the tradition of an important company into merchandise, in the geographical space of Itapira.Downloads
