Abstract

This paper aims to present a methodology to analyze the process of reconstruction of Tohoku in Japan, the region affected by the earthquake / tsunami of 2011, so as the process of Reconstruction of the homeland (furusato). In this phase, the research will be centred to identify the stages of rebuilding through the activities carried out so far. After the initial emergency phase, processes are being discussed to the relocation and reconstruction of villages and towns preserving identity characteristics considered for the community. Finally it is proposed the called process of Reconstruction of the Homeland, which proposes an analysis of the collective consciousness and local capacity to retain in their structures a subjective sense of primordial landscape of their identities.

    Possui Bacharelado e Licenciatura em Geografia pela Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa, Mestrado em Geografia pela Universidade Federal do Paraná, e é Doutorando em Geografia pela Universidade Estadual de Londrina. Dedica-se em estudos de Geografia Humana, com ênfase em Geografia do Cotidiano, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: psicogeografia, espacialidade japonesa e estrangeira, espacialidade pessoal em áreas de risco, reconstrução cultural de áreas e Glocal.
  • Humberto Tetsuya Yamaki, Universidade Estadual de Londrina

    Possui graduação em Arquitetura pela Universidade de São Paulo (1976), Mestre (1981) e Doutor (1984) em Planejamento Ambiental pela Universidade de Osaka. Pós-Doutorado em Desenho Urbano pelo JCUD - Oxford Polytechnic. Professor Associado da Universidade Estadual de Londrina, leciona na Pós Graduação em Geografia (Mestrado e Doutorado) e no Curso de Arquitetura e Urbanismo. Tem experiência na área de Arquitetura e Urbanismo e atua nos seguintes temas: morfologia urbana, paisagem cultural e etnográfica e reabilitação da arquitetura imigrante. Bolsista PQ - CNPq.
