Climate dynamic such as land use management, flood prevention and agricultural
demand scenarios constitutes a strategic tool in planning policies. This dynamic may be investigated through the orographic effects. This work evaluated the effects of orography on rainfall over the northern coastal of Alagoas. For doing that, were used modules of ArcGIS and database from Agência Nacional de Águas. Results showed a direct relationship between rainfall, altitude and distance from shoreline. For doing that, were used modules of ArcGIS and database from Agência Nacional de Águas.
