Experiência Didática de Planejamento Urbano e Regional: Dos Conceitos à Apresentação Institucional pelos Alunos

Resumen

This report is about the activities developed during and after completion of the discipline Urban and Regional Planning for the first group of Architecture and Urbanism course of the University of Sorocaba, a non-profit institution of the community type. It reports on the specifics of the student, the objectives of the discipline, the methodology used, which in the first part seeks to consolidate the basic and complementary bibliography to grasp the concepts, in the second part emulates the realization of a municipal master plan, by the thematic research of raw data, their organization and critical analysis; and in the third part, proposing a case study for the implementation of new equipment, justifying them, according to verified need and choice of groups after discussion of possibilities; in the fourth part, presenting to classmates, submitting to discussion and collecting suggestions for improvement to the original proposal. In the case of this particular group, there was also an extracurricular presentation to the planning agency (Nuplan) of the municipality of Sorocaba (SP), with extracurricular work to the discipline, but totally relevant for the presentation of results of the surveys from 25 municipalities in the region of Sorocaba, with which the students with the best works could take from the initial concepts to the institutional presentation.
