The reading act is an activity which joins socialization in behaviors and values combined with cognitive processes. The results of this activity dwell on themselves beyond the limits of knowledge acquisition for a possibility of integration with other society members. As one of school tasks, reading has been widely discussed and has been the subject of various research lines. Aligned to the need of reflection about reading, in this article, we adopted the multidisciplinary perspective which merges the knowledges for a proficient reader formation, pointing out ways for a development of this activity at school, mainly in Portuguese language classes. For this work with diversified genres which circulate in society and at school, we suggest a big guide that can be extended by teacher while he/she brings to these activities the student’s needs and teacher´s teaching plan needs as well as those which are in the documents related to school projects and to national guidelines. As an illustration for development of a schedule to be elaborated for each genre and for each situation of implementation, we indicate a reading which follows this line, from a poem by José Paulo Paes, “Skepsis”.Downloads
