Portuguese teachers in network: challenges of teaching portuguese language

In this interview, Professor Dr. Maria das Graças Soares Rodrigues, from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Coordinator of PROFLETRAS (Professional Master in Languages) presents the main points of this program. PROFLETRAS began in August in 2013, being offered nationally with the participation of 34 public universities, linked to Sistema da Universidade Aberta (UAB). It is a course of stricto sensu post-graduation, offered to 854 teachers of undergraduate courses of Languages, who teach Portuguese language in elementary school (from 1st to 9th grade) in public schools and were approved in public contest. The program is coordinated by Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), and is connected directly to Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES).
