Abstract

Study regarding the relationship between education and nutrition with a focus on unity of the person, education as formation and development of the person. With Edith Stein's concept of "personal center" and "vital force", the main points of the subject's interests regarding personal life and its surrounding world are examined. The unity of the person - physical, psychological and spiritual -, its non-alienating relation with the social context and the proper constitution of community depend on those points. The study concludes that without a possible path that points toward the formation of the person, so that each one becomes more oneself, the process of personal or social care can not be established.
