Sistêmica, relacional, dinâmica, flexível, holista, analógica, recursiva, não-linear... são exemplos dos adjetivos que foram em algum momento utilizados para descrever a epistemologia ecológica de Gregory Bateson. Na produção dessa nova forma de conhecer as coisas são gestados os fundamentos de um novo paradigma, uma nova ciência, uma nova linguagem que nos aconselha a aprender a ver o mundo e a nós mesmos de uma outra maneira, com outros olhos, outras lentes (menos digitais, mais analógicas). Mais do que perceber o mundo de outra maneira, trata-se do convite para habitar um outro mundo, um outro planeta: o planeta Bateson.
