This study aims thinking about the external relations and processes of scientific research which has as subject the indigenous people. It intends to analyze the level of interference which these processes cause to the indigenous peoples' ways of living, body integrity, and so forth, in their health and quality of life. The considerations will be focused initially at the process of accessing the traditional knowledge associated to the genetic patrimony as a field of scientific practices, its characterization and subjects involved, such as the contexts and procedures for its authorization and, when it deals with the economical utilization of the results, its nature, destination and benefit sharing.Downloads
