Like many of the given examples in Acceleration and Alienation: Towards a Critical Theory of LateModern Temporality reinforce, often not even a specialist in Chronosociology is immune to the action of the phenomena he/she analyses – especially in the case of one of the actually most known, cited and solicited researchers in the german press. This review of Hartmut Rosa’s above mentioned book shows that it is far away of being an Entdeckung der Langsamkeit or an éloge de la lenteur, as some interpretations seem to pledge. In the dialog, carried originally in german on october 23rd 2014 in Jena, Germany, transcribed, edited and translated into brazilian portuguese by Rafael H. Silveira, some points which are complementary for the understanding of the theory of social acceleration were discussed through the perspective of the brazilian reality.
