Abstract

The article speculates on the origins of teaching
the act of creating architecture. For this task, it is assumed
that it could be listed two initial moments for the architectural
activity - a primitive, linked to the first constructive processes
and the choices linked to them; and another disciplinary,
inaugurated with the separation of the person who builds
from that who plans the construction. Observing this
first period in which there was no “project”, this research
finds in the mechanism of mimesis, or imitation of nature,
the answer to the origin of the teaching of architectural
making.
