How hospitality students evaluate the process of training and development directed atthemselves, while trainees, and in comparison with other processes directed to hotelemployees? To handle this problem, this article has employed the theoretical fields ofadministration and hospitality. Methodologically, we chose the technique of qualitativecontent analysis of semi-structured interviews, within the following categories: anyprofessional experience prior to the stage, according to the amplitude of the trainee hotelwithin the hotel, training programs in hotels (for employees; for trainees), type of trainingapplicable to the stage; interest of the trainee. The results showed that there is a certainunease of the students' activity. At first, highly-motivated, eager to meet and develop aprofessional practice, which promises pleasant, marked by the contact with customers andfull of pleasant surprises and events, often some are frustrated. More often than not, treatedas cheap labor, subjected to menial tasks for which they are never called by its technicalqualities, the wear and disappointment are natural.Downloads
