Nowadays tourism is being considered as one of the most important economic activities in the world, involving its different components and travelmotivations. The consumer 's choice process of some tourist products is being discussed on the literature under the most varied aspects. The article emphasizes some of the approaches concerning the consumer's behavior before the tourist product and their empirical evidences. It also draws the attention to the present brazilian research situation on tourist consumer's behavior.
