This paper discusses the promotion of tourism destinations by the Internet, attempting to the great potential of the net in this segment and reviewing some theoretical questions. It introduces an analysis model for websites of tourism destinations and, then, analyzes the Brazilian states' governmental tourism websites, showing their qualities and deficiencies.Downloads
