Focalizando a teoria e algumas das suas aporias (excessiva dependência de uma leitura mimética do texto, sobrevalorização da biografia, "esquecimento" das pressões editoriais institucionais), pretende-se, a partir da análise de Campo de Trânsito (2007), de João Paulo Borges Coelho verificar de que modo a a escrita produzida em Áfriac pode subverter e confundir as premissas discursivas dos estudos pós-coloniais de orientação clássica. Com base em subsídios teóricos de Giorgio Agamben, objetiva-se ilustrar algumas das intenções do projeto est´ético do autor moçambicano.
