The ethic “vision” in the Contos de Cidadezinha, by Ruth Guimarães

The so-called regional literature would be received in the contemporaneity? This aesthetic and sociologic problem is the main theme that will be discusses in this paper. Specially our analisys is focusing on the Ruth Guimarães’ short stories Contos de cidadezinha. This female writer began her career with the novel Água funda and the research ethonographic Os filhos do medo, the both books written before before counterculture movements occurred in the world and that, in Brazilian literature, the urbanization became predominant theme. The tale “Visão” that we discusses in this work expresses the deep tension present in the human relationship. By of this, the Ethic receive meticulous treatment in order to demonstrate the Guimarães’ aesthetic making when she articulates the regionalist expression and filosofic themes.
