Abstract

This article aims to interpret the narrative meanings of poetry produced by dissident black authors in terms of gender and sexuality. The proposed discussions are based on the literary concepts of writing-living (EVARISTO, 2011; 2022) and cuirlombism (NASCIMENTO, 2019) in the analyzes of two poems and (auto)biographical narratives of the authors. The poetic production of queer black authorship has been based on the power and agency of subalternized experiences as a right to an Afrofuturist glimpse and reverie opposing the cis-heterosexist hegemony thems, and others like pain, struggle and renunciation, in order to constitute writing-living poetics of (self)love.

  • Luciana Borges, Federal University of Catalao

    She holds a PhD in Literature - Literary Studies from the Federal University of Goiás (2009), a Master's in Literature and Linguistics from the Federal University of Goiás (1999) and a Bachelor's degree in Literature from the Federal University of Goiás (1995). She is currently a professor at the Federal University of Catalão and works in the Postgraduate Program in Language Studies (UFG). Furthermore, she completed a Postdoctoral Internship at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, under the supervision of Professor Tânia Regina O. Ramos. She has experience in the area of ​​Literature, with an emphasis on Literature by Female Authors, working mainly on the following themes: gender studies, feminist criticism, eroticism, and pornography. She is the author of the book “Eroticism as a rupture in Brazilian fiction by female authors: a study on Clarice Lispector, Hilda Hilst and Fernanda Young” (Ed. Mulheres, 2013) and organizer of “Women in writing and thought: essays on literature and perception” (Funape, 2013) and “The body in literature and art: theories and readings” (Depecac, 2013), Gender Problems (2016), Literary Textures (Mercado de Letras, 2017), Insubmissive Letters (2020), among others. She is a member of the research group Dialogus - Interdisciplinary Studies in Gender, Culture, and Work and of the GT ANPOLL - Women in literature.
