A way of reading under the bias of interculturality

The purpose of this reflection is to demonstrate the relationship between literary reading and interculturality, through the reading of the African work in Portuguese Terra sonâmbula, by Mia Couto. The intercultural reading model of Margarida Morgado and Maria Natividade Pires (2010) anchored the analysis of the work in order to indicate the representation of diversity (characters) and relations with diversity (characters and space). Thus, after the analysis, some relevant aspects were highlighted to highlight such a relationship, such as otherness, culture, history and diversity, enabling fruition and broadening the horizons of reading.
