Author Biography

  • Jacob dos Santos Biziak, Universidade Estadual Paulista 'Julio de Mesquita Filho'

    He holds a bachelor's and licentiate's degree in Literature from the São Paulo State University — Araraquara Campus (2006), a master's degree in Literary Studies from the São Paulo State University — Araraquara Campus (2009), and a doctorate from the same institution. He carried out postdoctoral research (2015–2017) at USP Ribeirão Preto/Laboratório Discursivo E-l@dis, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Lucília Abrahão, and at UFRJ (2017–2018), under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Carla Rodrigues. He is currently a professor at the Instituto Federal do Paraná (Collegiate and Literature course), Palmas campus, in technical cooperation with the Literature course at IFSP, Sertãozinho campus. He has experience in the area of ​​Literature, with an emphasis on Literature and Textual Production. He is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Language Studies at UNICAMP (under the supervision of Professor Mônica Zoppi-Fontana), with the project Problems of enunciation: possible relationships between Butler, Derrida and Pêcheux, in the discursive study of the functioning of language. He is a tenured professor in the Postgraduate Program in Literary Studies at UNESP in Araraquara, where he is also a master's advisor. Broadly speaking, he works with a greater emphasis on psychoanalysis and discourse analysis as instruments for understanding literary texts (especially contemporary literature in Portuguese) and is also interested in research and outreach on genders and sexualities in language and society. His main theoretical contributions to study and analysis are: Mikhail Bakhtin, Michel Pêcheux, Freud, Lacan, Judith Butler and Jacques Derrida. He coordinates the G.E.Di (Discourse Studies Group) at the IFPR campus in Palmas. He was coordinator of the Subproject in Letters/Portuguese of PIBID at IFPR Campus Palmas between 2018 and 2019. Member of the Research Group Women in Discourse.
