This article entitled “Esse Cabelo, by Djaimilia Pereira de Almeida, and Ponciá Vicencio, by Conceição Evaristo: Afro-transatlantic dialogues” will address, in a comparative perspective, the two works mentioned above, considering what we call a “poetics of homelessness”. The configuration of the transcultural and transnational formation of the black Atlantic (Gilroy) will underpin our reading, which will also take into account several thinkers of the black diaspora, such as Achille Mbembe and Édouard Glissant. We consider that the two works considered by us revolve around some tropes such as exile, wandering, migration, displacement, deterritorialization, continuous transit and uprooting.
