Divine Divas: between the window and the mirror

This article is a reading of the documentary film Divinas Divas (2017) directed by Leandra Leal. As a presupposition of discursive strategy, metaphorically, the documentary explores alternative states of (inter)mediation between the window and the mirror of the transvestite universe: from the stage to the everyday and vice-versa. This assumption touches on the cultural production of (inter)subjectivities on diversity, by punctuating categories of flexibility and transversality diluted throughout the text. In essay format, the reading proposal exposes syncretic arguments (verbal, visual and sound), anchored by contemporary studies, to contextualize the documentary dynamics of testimonies and testimonies.
