The work of Orlanda Amaryllis collected in three short stories books Cais do Sodré té Salamansa, 1975, Ilhéu dos Pássaros, 1982, and A Casa dos Mastros, 1989 do not add up all her narratives. It is necessary to search in anthologies and literary magazines to record her work. An example is the tale “Alegoria”, a handwritten version of the short story “Requiem”, published in 1982, in Ilhéu dos Pássaros. We will work in this article a comparison between the handwritten version, published in The Handwriting Anthology, 1975, and the one published in book form, in order to discuss the situation of literary writing after post-independence proposed by her in that short story.Downloads
