Abstract

This article focuses on the interview as a journalistic practice of confession. Such object constitutes an epistemological route that approaches the foucaultian conception of confession (Foucault, 1998) to the “neo-confession” described by E. Morin (2000). On the discursive scope they appear the roles and functions of the journalist/ who questions and the source/who confesses, as if during the interview the source was face-to-face with an authority empowered to this objective. Three interviews, which formed the little corpus, have been selected in different media and might provoke useful insights that resulted a typology of the relationship journalist/source and can advance to a definitive rupture with the ritual of confession inside the new digital environment.
