Abstract

The Brazil, with the opening of TV Tupi in 1950, was one of the top five countries in the world to have television and the first in Latin America. The invention, which became a national passion, even if initially restricted to the higher classes, since the beginning demonstrate its popular character. Displaying classic high culture through teletheaters, ballet and orchestras, this vehicle, even that watched and listening distantly by the teleneighbors and televisitors, will be the one that will enchant the masses and consequently the advertises.
