The images that make up the essay seek to record moments of the Burning of Straws. They present the bridesmaids and the empty house, previously prepared to receive visitors; the presence of one person and the presence of many, when the Casa de Nagô is full of people. Furthermore, they display the division of tasks, indicating the importance of commensality, but also of music. The photos show the decoration and aesthetics of the terreiro, the colorful bows, the paper flags, the care taken in the composition of the altars and the nativity scene, the smoke from burning straws and the lighting of candles for the baby Jesus.
