La constatación de que finalmente llegará en
el transcurso del 20081 la publicación en caste-
llano de Translated Woman: Crossing the Border
with Esperanza’s Store, realizado por Ruth Behar
(profesora e investigadora de la Universidad de
Michigan), ha sido el motivo para iniciar la re-
seña de este libro, el cual ha recibido en el año
de su primera edición en inglés la mención de
“Notable Book” por el New York Times y la
mención “Victor Turner Prize for Etnographic
Writing” por la Society for Human Anthropo-
logy un año después.
