Several Cuban writers who publish their work since 1990 propose a series of fictions and essays about the tense and contradictory relations they maintain with state power. It can be affirmed that what they present is a dispute for the control or administration of the languages that shape reality. In this paper I will describe and analyze this dispute through a series of figures or scenes that are in the magazine Diaspora(s), in La fiesta vigilada, by Antonio José Ponte, and El comunista manifiesto, by Ivan de la Nuez. The ulterior intention of this text is to contribute minimally, and from the study of Cuban literature, to a study on power today.
