Significations of the fall in Residencia en la tierra

In this work, I analyze the variables that the imagery of the fall assumes in Residencia en la tierra by Pablo Neruda. On one hand, the fall ins linked with decadence and death and is the movement which incites the fragile condition of the subject; on the other, it is the image of a desirable sinking into the memory, a positive tension which moves toward knowledge and poetic descent. In may analysis, I proceed in the direction of a general revision of the criticismo about the fall in Neruda´s poetry, proposing its semantic amplification and insisting upon the productivity and the desire that in represents.Downloads
