Tomás Segovia, exiled from the 1939 civil war, rather than settle for that situation, has developed throughout his career reflections on exile not as timely or particular event, but as the human condition. Thus, the original exile reveals a series of attitudes towards the language that already cannot refer to a historical event, but rather are of the task of the writer and intellectual: resistance and nakedness of the language into an equally naked imaginary space.
