Tsuge no Kushi (O Pente), de Okada Yachiyo: uma tradução

This work presents a translation into Brazilian Portuguese of the play Tsuge no Kushi, written by the Japanese writer Okada Yachiyo (1883-1962) in 1912. Okada was one of the first women playwrights of the Meiji era (1868-1912), being, therefore, a unique name for the women-authored arts in Japan and the Japanese feminist movement. The translation was done directly from the Japanese and was based on a publication from the year 1912. The translation is preceded by a brief contextualization of the author and the play, as well as equally brief comments on the translation itself. Following the translation, the original text in Japanese is presented.
