Abstract

The present article deals with the relation between adolescence and education within thecontemporary social context. It starts from former research about adolescence taken as a psychic work, imposed upon youngsters in our culture, marked by individualism and by the downfall of the public space, as a place for exercising the individual's singularity referring to a community. It questions then the problem of re-encountering the Other of the culture that characterizes adolescence, represented by the impasses regarding transmission in the current world. Such task is sustained by the anteriority dimension, supporting a position of authority, and presupposes on the part of the subject, a confrontation between the promise-resignation binomials.
