The discovery of the social production of space allowed a theoretical leap in understanding contemporary society as it reaches the spatial dimension by the process of capital accumulation and by the rationality of the state. A determinate reading of H. Lefebvre's work can identify the passage of social space to the production of space by its insertion, simultaneously, in the frames of the process of reproduction of capital and reproduction of the society. Thus, the emphasis lays on the notion of space mobilization, through which one can extract the strategic, economic and political meanings of space production. It is through the mobilization of space that the concrete conditions of the production of financialized spaces are revealed, necessarily involving segregation.
