Abstract

The relactions between the Cerrado´s population and environment in the State of Goiás (Brazil) are presented of discussion in this article. Although the references to the Cerrado are becoming more prevalent in the marketing of private companies as well in advertisements from public agencies the Cerrado-area inhabitants are showing an increased unfamiliarity with the natural environment due to rampant and haphazard urbanization.
