Abstract

This paper takes us through some of the most representative texts in Italian literature reread in the light of two interwoven conceptual categories: the body and the party. From Polizianos´Orpheus to Pirandello´s I quaderni di Serafino Gubbio operatore, visiting Boccaccio, Verga and Leopardi, with references to the 18 th and 19 th century melodrama.

    Docente de Literatura italiana junto à Università per Stranieri de Siena. Publicou entre outros, La classe dei colti (Laterza, 1970), Le cose e le figure negli Indifferenti di  Moravia (Bulzoni,1976), um volume de Scritti e discorsi letterari E. Corradini (Einauldi, 1980).
