Abstract

Translation of the essay L'Éducation par le Rythme (Education through rhythm), written by the Swiss composer and pedagogue Émile Jaques-Dalcroze (1865-1950) and published in the magazine Le Rythme in 1909. The translation is preceded by a presentation in which the author's biographical context is briefly elucidated, as are the central topics of the text.
