Abstract

The objective of this study was twofold: to verify whether strategic renewal behavior and adventurous behavior, dimensions of intrapreneurship, influence job satisfaction and employee engagement in public educational institutions. Also, observe whether satisfaction and engagement influence the institution's perception of competitive advantage. Observations from 618 public servants in the teaching area were analyzed based on responses to a structured questionnaire, applied electronically, and using the structural equation sampling technique, with partial least squares estimation. The results indicated that the server's strategic renewal behavior positively impacts their job satisfaction and also their engagement. Likewise, it was evident that the adventurous behavior of public servants influences job satisfaction and also employee engagement. Finally, it was confirmed that job satisfaction and engagement of public education employees have a positive impact on the perception of competitive advantage. It is concluded that when involved in the strategic decisions of the educational institution, and also with freedom to act, public servants feel more satisfied and engaged, in addition to perceiving themselves as part of the competitive advantages gained by the public. educational institution
