Abstract

This paper discusses the necessity of a cooperative work between researchers on terminology and specialists (technical cooperation) to the technical-scientific vocabulary organization. Firstly, it examines the close relationship between sciences and techniques and their term-based networks, analyzing the importance that vocabulary production has on specialized communication and on the establishment of sciences and techniques. This part emphasizes that the definitions of these documents lead the user to their corresponding conceptual meanings. This study also shows some defining aspects of those terminological documents. Then, it analyses the microstructure of telecommunications and telephony vocabularies, emphasizing some misleading points. Finally, it compares these microstructures with those ones formulated in the systematic vocabulary of cellular telephony, produced by a technical cooperation, in order to confirm the necessity of a shared work (a technical cooperation) between researchers on terminology and specialists in the organization of dictionaries with linguistical and conceptual quality which this kind of documents must have.
