Marxist feminism and the geographies of social reproduction: introductory notes

Social reproduction feminism has gained increasing relevance and visibility in research in various fields of human sciences in Brazil. Although there is an increase in geographers' interest in feminist perspectives, approaches related to social reproduction in our country are still underexplored, even when the themes covered are inserted in the sphere of reproduction. In the field of Brazilian geography, expanding the adoption of the Marxist feminist perspective would allow not only to identify activities that actually are social reproduction as social reproduction, but also to adjust the scales and methodological tools necessary for the development of research. As a result, analyzes would become more complex and generate new theoretical connections. In order to contribute to this debate, this work seeks to highlight elements of Marxist feminism that can serve as methodological starting points for deepening discussions on social reproduction in our study area
