The Revista da Tulha (The Tulha's Journal) is a biannual publication of the Center for Research Support in Performance's Sciences (NAP-CIPEM) of the Department of Music of the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters of the University of São Paulo, campus Ribeirão Preto, Brasil, whose mission is to publish academic papers in Portuguese, English, French, Spanish and German, on musical poetics (composition and performance); musical praxis (education and extension to community) and musical theory (musical studies, musicology, ethnomusicology), in a transdisciplinary approach. Its target audience are researchers, students and amateurs.
The process of reviewing a work includes a preliminary assessment by the Editorial Comission in regards to its relevance to the editorial line of RT. Then, each submissions are evaluated in double-blind (reviewers are unaware of the identity of the authors, and authors are also unaware of the identity of reviewers) system and, in the case of a tie, a third reviewer will be invited.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
In accordance with DOAJ’s definition of Open Access, all published articles are freely, immediately, and permanently available to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0).

RT is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International license.
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.

RT does not charge fees for the submission or publication of the texts, nor for the evaluation, revision or download processes, for Brazilian authors or of other countries.
Founded in 2015, RT is an academic publication of Music, linked to the NAP-CIPEM (Research Group in Performance Sciences) of the Music Department of the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters at Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo.
