Abstract

The objective of the article is to establish a discussion about the American books published between the second half of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century about the classical singer’s scenic acting, exposing briefly some principles and thoughts found in this literature. The authors' reflections on aspects of scenic preparation and development are organized into three thematic axes: 1) Scenic preparation and the routes from inside to outside and from outside to inside; 2) Development and use of expressive resources; and 3) Challenges inherent in the classical singer's scenic acting. The content of the article was developed as part of the literature review carried out in the author's doctoral research.

  • Cristine Bello Guse, Universidade Federal de Pelotas

    Possui graduação em Bacharel em Administração de Empresas pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (1998), graduação em Bacharel em Música Habilitação Canto Lírico (2005), Mestrado em Música (2009) e Doutorado em Música (2018) pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho . Foi professora de canto lírico da UNESP e professora de canto e coordenadora da área de canto lírico e canto coral do Conservatório de Tatuí. Atualmente é Professora Adjunta da UFPEL. Tem experiência na área de Artes, com ênfase em Canto, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: ópera, recital, música de câmara, concerto e música sacra.
