This report is a sample of the research “The imaginary of exclusion”, regarding to the coverage of popular and social manifestations in Brazil (2014), according to the mainstream media (Veja, Estado de S Paulo O Globo, Carta Capital e Folha de S Paulo). We proceed, first, by a quantitative survey (mapping all the reports, day by day), and then by a qualitative analysis, based mainly on Critical Discourse Analysis (Teun Van Dijk).
