Abstract

Recover the centrality of labor in mediation processes and in social identity formation has important impacts to understand contemporary social dynamics. We live in a society characterized for a deep development of division of labor as well as for an increase of communication technologies that became so important to productive capitalist process. For this reason, it seems necessary to reexamine the concept of labor as an essential human activity and as an aspect of individual and collective identity. This approach seems to be fundamental to contemporary communication researches
