O presente texto é o esforço de apresentar no formato de uma resenha o livro Adelmo Genro Filho e a teoria do jornalismo de Felipe Simão Pontes. O desafio se apresenta pela densidade do texto que busca as bases de uma teoria do jornalismo, a partir do pensamento de Adelmo Genro Filho. Para isso, Pontes vai buscar as orientações filosóficas e conceituais para uma teoria do jornalismo e que vão dar origem a obra mais importante de Genro Filho, o livro O Segredo da Pirâmide: para uma teoria marxista do jornalismo. No seu percurso teórico Pontes realiza diversas entradas contextuais e históricas, epistemológicas e ontológicas para trazer nova luz ao jornalismo como uma forma de conhecimento.
