Jornalista especializado em esportes: Uma discussão sobre a formação contínua do profissional

O objetivo do artigo é promover reflexão a respeito da formação do jornalista esportivo e apresentar conceitos que devem permear a cobertura jornalística de jogos, lutas, corridas e competições ligadas ao esporte. Os media enxergam em demasia o esporte pela performance e com poucas abordagens ao aspecto formador do cidadão. A pergunta-problema se relaciona à formação desejável do jornalista esportivo, ao que lhe é ensinado e à contribuição para o exercício de um jornalismo cidadão e de interesse público. A hipótese defende necessidade de formação mais transdisciplinar do jornalista para atuar com as complexas interfaces entre jornalismo e esporte como os campos do lazer, da saúde e da educação e, assim, contribuir para melhorar a vida do cidadão.
