Abstract

O ensino do fotojornalismo evidencia a constante necessidade de alinhamento entre teoria e prática, exigindo que a produção fotográfica esteja amparada pela reflexão. Tal consideração, se somada ao fato de que sua tradição tem um forte traço humanista, revela que o fotojornalismo é uma atividade profissional baseada na sensibilidade em relação ao outro e ao mundo. Nesta entrevista, Atílio Avancini, fotógrafo e professor do curso de jornalismo da Escola de Comunicações e Artes da USP, aborda aspectos sobre o ensino na área, além de refletir sobre a convergência entre os seus trabalhos fotográficos autorais e sua dedicação à docência e pesquisa.
