Monica Grayley started as a radio broadcaster in Rio de Janeiro in 1986, on the Clock Radios, Fluminense FM, Estácio FM and MEC AM. From 1992 to 1995, she worked in various positions at Radio Deustche Welle in Germany while pursuing her master’s degree in Germany.Back in Brazil, between 1996 and 1999, she was hired as a special reporter for Manchete Magazine and was on Radio Tupi FM and Globo Radio System. Still in 1999, Monica was approved in a BBC contest to take up the post in the Brazilian Service in London where she stayed until 2005, when she went to New York to take over as head of UN Radio, today UN News, where she holds the position of editor-in-chief of the sector in Portuguese. On October 4th, 2019, at lunch time, Monica was interviewed at the UN headquarters.
