The filmmaker João Batista de Andrade, even though already been awarded and recognized, in the seventies worked as a reporter and documentary director, in two Brazilian broadcasters. First in TV Cultura, producing daily reports for the TV news Hora da Notícia, and then in Globo Repórter and in the special reports direction for many shows in the TV station. His interview reveals details of the filmmakers’ presence in the Brazilian television. An historical and significant moment for the TV journalism memory.João Batista de Andrade granted the interview at the 12th of December, 2006, at the city of São Paulo, while he held the position of Culture state secretary.
