Comunicação popular e comunitária como alternativa à imprensa londrinense: um estudo de caso da ocupação Flores do Campo

In October 2016, in Londrina (PR), hundreds of families occupied the project “Jardim Flores do Campo” of the Minha Casa Minha Vida Program, whose construction was paralyzed. Since then, there has been a posture of depreciation, by a portion of the press, of the local residents. In this context, a group was formed that entered the occupation to carry out practical communication workshops. This study presents part of the results obtained from the workshops; talks about the occupation Flores do Campo; presents the ideas of popular and community communication theory; and does a specific case study. Through this study, we realized the diffusion of contents that amplified the position and voice of the residents, with an alternative bias in relation to local press; besides the creation of a communicative channel of the occupation.
